KAREN ANDERSON, ESQ. Karen is Co-Founder and President of Vintage Legal. Upon graduating from Cornell Law School, Karen worked at the Securities and Exchange Commission's Division of Market Regulation. She then practiced M&A/corporate and securities law in New York City at two large law firms.
Karen also worked as a development professional at the Children's Defense Fund and supports a variety of non-profit organizations. She is a member of the NY Bar, the Women's Bar Association, the Hispanic National Bar Association, the National Society of Hispanic MBAs, the National Association of Female Executives and the Human Resources Association of NY. She has also served as the Membership Committee Chair for the the Hispanic National Bar Association's New York Chapter and as a mentor to law students.
Karen services client accounts and manages our inhouse recruitment staff. She works on positions of all levels - from general counsel to staff attorney searches. With her SEC background, one area of expertise is in the securities industry, but other industries she has serviced include media/entertaintment, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and retail. As a native Spanish speaker, Karen has also assisted her clients in recruiting Spanish speaking attorneys for Latin American focused positions.
DAVID M. ANDERSON, ESQ. David is a Co-Founder and CEO of Vintage Legal. David is a Co-Founder & CEO of Vintage Legal. He is a graduate of BostonCollege and CornellLawSchool, where he served on the Cornell Law Review. David also holds an LL.M. in Taxation from NYU. David started his career as a litigation associate at two large New York law firms, where he handled disputes involving securities, intellectual property and mergers and acquisitions. He was then recruited to a Fortune 500 financial institution where he served as Vice President, overseeing the underwriting of risks related to M&A and contingent tax liabilities. David is a member of the New York and Massachusetts Bar Associations, the Cornell Club, the Oxford Union Society and the New Haven Country Club. David focuses on law firm partner placements, practice group placements and retained general counsel level searches. In the in-house arena, his most recent placements include: the General Counsel of a Fortune 500 media company; the Deputy General Counsel of a Fortune 100 pharmaceutical company; and a Chief Compliance Officer of a global pharmaceutical company. In the law firm area, most recently, David placed partners and/or practice groups at some of the world’s premier firms in a variety of different practice areas, including mergers & acquisitions, securities, private equity, bank finance, public finance, corporate trust and litigation.
David’s clients and candidates rely on him to be much more than an effective recruiter; the role he most enjoys is serving as a trusted adviser and sounding board to some of the most influential attorneys in New York. David and his wife, Karen, are proud and enthusiastic supporters of many worthy causes, as a portion of Vintage Legal’s annual profits have been directed in recent years to a number of charities, such as The Smile Train, TargetCancer, St. Jude Children’s ResearchHospital and The Gladney Center’s Humanitarian Efforts in Ethiopia.
AMY M. BELGER, ESQ. Amy is Senior Executive Recruiter. A graduate of Boston College Law School, Amy Belger started her career at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse prosecutor where she won over 30 jury trials. Amy then practiced at a large NJ law firm, where she first chaired a jury trial in federal court. She later joined Dewey Ballantine LLP, where she represented Fortune 500 companies on cases involving commercial disputes, bankruptcy, antitrust, intellectual property and white collar criminal investigations.
On a pro bono basis, she represented victims of the Holocaust and indigent criminal defendants charged in federal court in the Southern District of New York. She also coached inner city teenagers as part of the Martin Luther King, Jr. High School Mock Trial Team.
Amy specializes in the Boston, New York and Asia markets. She works out of the Vintage Legal Boston and New York offices. Amy is an active member of the Morgenthau Alumni Group.
